Nomura hires head of FX LatAm trading

Barclays FX trader joins as Liran Blum exits in New York

Nomura

Nomura has appointed Leonardo Jereissati as head of foreign exchange trading for Latin America (LatAm).

Based in New York, he is set to start his new role next month, following the completion of his gardening leave period with Barclays.

Jereissati had held a similar LatAm FX trading role at the British bank since September 2008, prior to which he was at Lehman Brothers, also in New York.

Meanwhile, Liran Blum, a senior FX trader and head of Nomura's principal strategies group, has left the bank
