Caplin appoints new Americas manager

Foreign exchange technology vendor Caplin Systems has appointed Ed Magee as executive vice-president for the Americas.

Based in New York, Magee takes over from Richard Leader, who departed the company in April after more than six years.

Magee reports to John Ashworth, the London-based chief operating officer, and will be responsible for supporting the firm's top-tier clients, developing mobile technology for the buy side, and leading sales and business development for the region.
