Michael Babic leaves the American firm in New York

Michael Babic, a director in foreign exchange electronic commerce sales, has left Citi, according to a person familiar with the situation.

Based in New York, Babic had been at the firm for more than five years and worked in FX for more than a decade. He is understood to be moving to a rival bank.

Babic began his career in FX prime brokerage in 2004 at Deutsche Bank, where he spent three years. Then he moved to FX MarketSpace, a former FX platform joint venture between CME and Thomson Reuters
