Aitan Goelman appointed as director of enforcement at the CFTC
Aitan Goelman, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission's (CFTC) newly appointed director of enforcement, will pick up the mantel of previous incumbents' work at the US regulator by examining current investigations into alleged financial services misconduct, including currency benchmarks and Libor.
Goelman, a former partner at law firm Zuckerman Spaeder in Washington, DC, brings more than 20 years' experience to public office. He takes over the position following a lengthy handover period since
