Marex Spectron has seen three foreign exchange salespeople leave the firm in London.

Paul Spillman, Keith Mash and Peter Snasdell have left after just months in their roles, having started at the firm in July last year. They all reported to chief operating officer, Ashraf Agha.

"Marex Spectron can confirm that Peter Snasdell, Keith Mash and Paul Spillman, who joined in July last year, have left the company. The three formed part of the company's larger FX operation, the remainder of which is unaffected," a spokesperson told FX Week.

Primarily a commodities broker, Marex hired the three salespeople to lead its FX agency broking desk and to work alongside its FX team that dealt with services for its commodities clients.

But at the time they joined, Marex was undergoing significant structural change, following the departure of global head of FX Chris Eagle, who subsequently joined Jefferies to head institutional FX sales in London. Marex also closed down its FX desk in New York, resulting in the departures of Paul Eisma and Frederik Vidh.

Spillman and Mash had both been at Newedge since 2004 before joining Marex, while Snasdell had been an executive director at Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce with responsibility for FX and precious metals.
