RBS hires FX options head for North America

Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has hired David Katalan as head of US options trading for currencies, based in Stamford, Connecticut.

Katalan, who began his role this month, reports globally to Simon Manwaring, global head of foreign exchange options in London, and Stephen Kemp, head of currencies for North America.

Katalan joins from algorithmic trading developer Equametrics, where he was a managing director for more than 18 months.

He began his FX options trading career at JP Morgan in 1999
