Lufthansa head treasurer departs

Roland Kern, Frankfurt-based head of treasury at German airline Lufthansa, has left the firm.

Kern had been with Lufthansa since August 2006 and was responsible for cash management, liquidity and risk management, and asset management of Lufthansa pensions. He left his role last month.

Prior to joining Lufthansa, Kern spent 22 years at Deutsche Bank in a number of senior roles in its investment banking division and a position in international trade finance.
