StanChart appoints assistant FX chief dealer
Standard Chartered has appointed Matt Gardiner as assistant chief dealer of London in Group of 10 foreign exchange, the bank has confirmed. Based in London, Gardiner will begin his role on September 23 and reports to Geoff Thorpe, head of FX spot trading in London. He joins from UBS, where he had worked for two years, having left Barclays in July 2011. He had been at the UK bank since June 2007, where he was a director in FX spot trading responsible for EUR/USD.
