Morgan Stanley hires ex-Nomura FX strategist

Geoff Kendrick, formerly head of European foreign exchange strategy at Nomura, has joined Morgan Stanley to head the bank's Asian FX and local rates strategy.

Kendrick relocates from London to Hong Kong to take up the new role as an executive director and reports to Viktor Hjort, head of Asia fixed-income research.

Kendrick had been at Nomura for three years, where he was credited with building a successful strategy franchise. Prior to joining the bank in 2010, he had worked at UBS for two years
