CIBC hires ex-State Street sales head

Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) has appointed Gerard Dodd executive director for the financial solutions group (FSG), a spokesperson for the bank has confirmed.

Based in London, Dodd reports to Mark Sweeting, managing director and head of FSG, Europe, and international FX sales. He will be responsible for expanding FX sales to real-money clients.

Dodd joins CIBC after a 12-year stint at State Street, where he was most recently senior managing director and head of alternative client
