Ian Axe steps down from top role at LCH.Clearnet

LCH.Clearnet chief executive Ian Axe is to step down, the clearing house announced this week. Axe had been in the role since replacing Roger Liddell in April 2011.

He joined from Barclays Capital, where he was global head of operations and chief operating officer for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Axe has agreed to remain in his position until the search for a successor has commenced.

During Axe's time at LCH, the clearing house has launched its foreign exchange clearing service, ForexClear
