BAML hires transactional FX head

Mike Robertson, managing director and global head of transactional foreign exchange at HSBC, has left the bank to join Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML) as managing director and global head of FX payment trading.

Based in London, Robertson joined in June and reports to Chris Bae and Tom Gillie, co-heads of G-10 FX trading in New York and Hong Kong, respectively, and Jim Coulton, head of FX trading for Europe, the Middle East and Africa in London.

Robertson had been at HSBC since November 2010
