Royal Bank of Canada appoints global head of FX options

Garrett Clinton, former head of Pacific Rim options trading at Credit Suisse, has joined Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) Capital Markets as global head of foreign exchange options.

Based in London, he will report locally to Ed Monaghan, the bank's global head of FX.

Clinton left Credit Suisse late last year as the bank made a number of cuts to its foreign exchange business, including five staff in FX sales and trading in London. Before joining Credit Suisse in 2008, he was a director in FX options
