Lloyds veteran spot trader departs

Lloyds Banking Group

Stuart Moss, a director and senior trader in foreign exchange spot at Lloyds Banking Group, has left the firm.

Based in London, Moss was most recently responsible for managing the bank's EUR/GBP and EUR/USD book. He had been a foreign exchange trader for 23 years, starting at Bank of Scotland in September 1990, moving to Halifax Bank of Scotland (HBOS) when the two companies merged in 2001, and then onto Lloyds following its sale to the UK bank in January 2009.

After the merger, Moss reported to Kelvin Jouhar, head of FX spot and formerly head of FX and FX derivatives at HBOS. Moss was a senior FX trader at Bank of Scotland before becoming chief dealer for FX spot at HBOS.

Moss is understood to be looking for a new challenge in the FX industry, but further details are not yet known.
