Danske hires FX bank sales head

Danske Bank has appointed Troels Estrup to head its foreign exchange bank sales desk in Copenhagen, as part of the Danish bank’s increased focus on electronic trading.

Estrup joins Danske from Barclays in London, where he has been a vice-president in e-FX sales for Scandinavia and Russia for the past two years. Between 2007 and 2010 he was a relationship manager for the Nordic region at Saxo Bank in Copenhagen.

Estrup will take up his new role on January 1, 2013 and will report to Niklas
