Katz quits StanChart for BBVA

Spanish private equity has done surprisingly well in 2010

Gerrard Katz, head of foreign exchange trading at Standard Chartered in Hong Kong, has left the bank and is expected to join BBVA as head of FX for Asia.

In his new role, Katz will remain in Hong Kong with the Spanish bank and will report locally to Jeffrey Chu, head of rates, currencies and commodities, and globally to Andrew Brown, global head of FX in London.
