Credit Suisse hires Lawes from BAML

Jamie Lawes, foreign exchange spot trader responsible for Commonwealth currencies at Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML) in London, has left the bank and will join Credit Suisse in August.

Lawes will remain in London and will work on the Swiss bank's spot-trading desk, reporting to Martin O'Donoghue, European head of spot trading. It is understood the appointment follows the partial relocation of Credit Suisse's spot-trading desk from Zurich to London in November 2010.
