Strategist quits BlueGold to launch start-up currency strategist
Stephen Jen has left London-based hedge fund BlueGold to launch a new venture providing currency overlay services to institutional investors. Jen left BlueGold on March 31, but it is understood his new venture, known as SLJ Macro Partners, will maintain a business relationship with the fund. Before joining BlueGold, Jen spent 13 years at Morgan Stanley, where he was managing director and chief currency economist.
