Hoffmann joins WestLB as FX head

DUSSELDORF - Klaus Hoffmann has been appointed global head of foreign exchange and local markets at WestLB in Dusseldorf.

Hoffmann started in the newly created role in August and oversees a team of 40 traders and sales staff. He will focus on the bank's client base in central and eastern Europe.

He was previously at Commerzbank as head of FX, local markets and precious metals. He originally joined the bank from German rival Dresdner Kleinwort (FX Week, January 10, 2005). It was Commerzbank's
