Swift promotion

Michael Cheung has been promoted to head of north Asia at the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications (Swift), the financial messaging provider. Cheung, who started in his Beijing-based role on June 1, has been head of Swift's China operations for two years, and he retains these responsibilities while now also overseeing commercial activities in the Philippines, South Korea and Vietnam. He reports locally to Ian Johnston, Swift's Asia-Pacific chief executive
