London salaries reach 2009 high
LONDON - Average annual salaries for new hires in London's financial services sector hit their highest levels this year in July, driven by a more competitive recruitment environment.
Research from London-based recruitment consultant Morgan McKinley released on August 18 said new recruits in July could have expected offers on average of £53,223. This was up 6% on June and 1% down from July 2008.
