BoA Merrill broadens its options

NEW YORK & LONDON - Rumours circulating the market have Bank of America Merrill Lynch building up in foreign exchange options on both sides of the Atlantic.

According to sources, the bank is looking to hire Tom Gillie, formerly head of foreign exchange options for Asia at Credit Suisse in Singapore (FX Week, July 13). Gillie is tipped to be joining the bank's options desk in New York, although it is unclear in what role.
