ABN loses head of spot

Keith Carpenter left his role as head of spot FX in London. Spot FX trader, Richard Gibbons, has replaced Carpenter, who is tipped to resurface at a London hedge fund. Carpenter and Gibbons both joined as spot traders in 1997 from Lehman Brothers.
Meanwhile, in Amsterdam, spot trader Steen Dybdahl has been promoted to chief dealer and will remain in Amsterdam. The role has been vacant since Claes von Holten Lindholm was made global head of spot FX (G13) in late 2004.
