CIBC hires in institutional sales

CIBC has boosted its institutional foreign exchange sales team in New York with the appointment of Ted Mermel, according to market sources. Mermel was most recently working in a similar role for Royal Bank of Scotland.

CIBC declined to comment on the appointment.

Jiwani joins Saxo

Saxo Capital Markets has confirmed the hire of Ashif Jiwani as head of derivatives trading, Asia, in Singapore.
