Saxo makes key hire in Denmark

Maasland joins the Copenhagen-based online investment bank from Standard Chartered, where he has been global head of business development and e-commerce, based in London, since 2005.

Saxo Bank is already operating with an Asia-Pacific COO, Kevin Ashby, based in Singapore. As European COO, Albert Maasland, will be the overall head of, and co-ordinate all, the European, Middle East and US offices and regions. This means chief executive Søren Mose in Geneva, executive director Torben Kaaber in
