MCM denies FX exit rumours

LONDON -- Analysis firm McCarthy Crisanti Maffei (MCM) last week denied that it is closing its FX business, as rumours circulated the market of redundancies at the firm worldwide.

Market insiders told FX Week that at least 10 FX staff left the firm two weeks ago, from centres including London and New York, and that further cuts could have been made late last week.

But New York-based chief executive David Nixon told FX Week that MCM remains firmly in the FX business and still considers itself one
