Chief executive of BZW, David Band, has died aged 53 while on holiday with his family in France.
His career began with JP Morgan in London in 1964 followed by various posts in London and New York. He was named head of South East Asia in 1976 and later managed the bank's Paris office.
In 1981 Band moved to New York as senior vice president, first to manage JP Morgan business in Europe and after that to take charge of international capital markets. In 1986, Band returned to London as managing
