Liffe Announces Breakneck Switch To Electronic Trading

LONDON--Halloween turned out to be a spookier event than normal for floor traders at Liffe, who discovered last week that they are being spirited away sooner than had been expected.

The board announced last week that as from Monday, November 22, all trading in Liffe's short-term interest rate futures contracts will be switched to LiffeConnect, the exchange's electronic trading system.
