CBOT, CME Agree On One System Globex, Special Role For Aurora

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) finally managed to resolve their differences and agreed to move ahead towards the development of a joint after-hours electronic trading system last week.

Although the union is still dependent on the exchanges reaching an agreement with Reuters Holdings PLC, the CME's partner in Globex, as well as approval by the members of the CBOT and the CME, it clearly marks a dramatic step forward, not only in terms of exchange
