State Street Names New Spot Head, Plans Further Job Hires

PEOPLE NEWS

LONDON--State Street Corporation in London has named Hugh Killen as the new head of spot forex trading in London.

His promotion follows the retirement of Steve Marks, chief dealer and head of spot trading, who left the bank--and the market--in March after a 20-year career in forex. Marks, 39, had been with State Street for 10 years.

The bank has also hired Peter Cooper to trade spot forex. Cooper, who starts at State Street next week, was previously at Republic National Bank of New York in London
