Barclays Capital Boosts Research In Forex Push

LONDON--Barclays Capital has expanded its global currency research business with several hires across all three time zones.

John Walsh has been hired as chief Latin American economist, responsible for foreign exchange and fixed income. He was formerly at BNP Paribas, and also previously worked at broker MW Marshall.

In Hong Kong, Peter Vanderschaft has joined the Asian emerging markets research team in FX, reporting to Desmond Supple, head of Asian research.
