Charlotte: First Union Bank of North Carolina is looking for a few foreign exchange traders, officials there confirm. The slots, one of which is on its night desk, have been vacant for some time and do not reflect any move by the bank to beef up its efforts, this source says. The bank advertised in the Sunday New York Times for a slew of professionals, including a corporate foreign exchange dealer. The ad indicates that a minimum of two years experience and a client book is required. Officials at the bank say it is also searching internally for the candidates.

Surrey: Nestle U.K. is looking for an assistant group treasurer, according to published reports. An attractive renumeration package, including a company car awaits the professional with extensive experience, who will be responsible for funding, liquidity and currency management.
