
Citi To Restructure Bonus Plan? Traders Object, ‘Cash Is King’

According to sources within the bank, senior management at Citibank is mulling the possibility of changing its bonus plan from a cash payout to a combination of cash and Citi stock options.
Under the proposed plan, employees would receive 50 percent of their bonus in cash and the remaining 50 percent in stock options that they would not be allowed to exercise for one or two years. In addition, the options could only be exercised if the trader was still with the bank.
But the proposed plan is not
