PHLX To Continue with Night Sessions For Trading In Currency Options

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX) last week opted to continue to operate its after-hours currency options trading sessions, following months of speculation about their future. PHLX's evening session, in particular, has suffered from low activity and failed to achieve the volume the exchange said it needed to succeed.
The Philadelphia exchange's currency committee voted to continue with the sessions at its monthly meeting last Thursday. The previous Monday, the exchange had resumed full
