Fifth Third Corp Goes Online, Refashions Role Of Salesforce

CINCINNATI--Fifth Third Corporation, the Midwest banking giant, has become one the latest US banks to offer internet-based foreign exchange trading for its corporate clients and en-route says it is starting to change the business model for its salesforce.

Fifth Third’s approach to the introduction of the new technology has been the setting up of so-called "remote traders". Here some of the corporate salesforce are redeployed to work off-site in some of the larger business areas that Fifth Third
