BofA Transfers Mandell to New York

Chris Mandell, Bank of America's director of sales for North America, is being transferred from Los Angeles to run the bank's FX sales division from New York. Her responsibilities are unchanged.

Mandell will continue to report to Robert McKnew, BofA's head of capital markets and trading in San Francisco, bank officials confirm.

Editor's note:

Mandell was promoted to deputy global head of FX when McKnew was named head of global FX in mid-1996. McKnew succeeded then global head of FX, Paul Chappell, who later left the bank.

Mandell joined the bank during its 1992 merger with Security Pacific Bank, where she managed the Los Angeles-based bank's sales desk, a post she maintained following the merger with BofA. Prior to BofA, she spent six years with Barclays, managing a team of consultants for FX risk management.

In the bank's latest combination, with NationsBank, Mandell has emerged as global FX sales manager for the new BankAmerica. McKnew continues as global FX manager.
