CME Forced To Shut Down Globex2 After Technical Glitch

CHICAGO--Dealing on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange's (CME) new Globex2 electronic after-hours trading system was switched back to the old Globex system on Friday, September 25, after a technical glitch suspended dealing.

A press statement issued by the exchange on the same day said "a technical situation…had caused a minor slowdown in price reporting and trade execution for some Globex2 terminals", and that the system would be back in operation by Sunday, September 27.
