Citigroup’s Englander joins BarCap but top research post stays vacant

Martin, who joined around eight years ago, is not expected to move to another bank in the near future, and is believed to be leaving the market for a couple of months.

Martin’s resignation leaves the global FX research team with no head, although a spokesperson for the bank told FX Week that BarCap will be recruiting a replacement.

Meanwhile, BarCap last week announced the hire of Steven Englander as chief FX strategist in New York. Englander joins from Citigroup, where he worked for over eight
