Westpac reorgs management

Paul Verschuer has joined the bank to become one-half of the new management team for global FX and commodities. Paul Quilkey, previously global head of energy at Westpac, is the other co-head. Verschuer was previously head of trading at Zurich Capital Markets in Sydney.

The reorg represents an effort to “boost our management resources in the wholesale business,” said a spokesperson in Sydney.

She declined to give further details, or comment on local media speculation that a senior trader has
