BBH sees forex growth in emerging markets

“FX volumes have picked up throughout the year – at the beginning of the year investors were concentrating on hedging but now they are putting money back in the market,” said Henry Wilkes, London-based head of FX at BBH. “There has been an increase in investor activity across the board, including Asian and eastern European emerging markets.” The market is particularly interesting at the moment as international investors are increasingly looking outside their own region for better investment
