Patrick Bartle, who took up the new post on July 18, has been at the bank for seven years, the past four of which he spent in Chicago as head of FX trading for North America.
John Nelson, global head of FX markets at ABN Amro in Chicago, said:"This adjustment to our management team is a reflection of a surge in our FX activity in the past 18 months, both in terms of volumes and in terms of client relationships."
