BoA props up trading business

LONDON -- Bank of America’s strategy to build a proprietary trading business is well under way.

Following the addition of Angus Cameron, who joined BoA in London late last year from WestLB in Tokyo, the US bank now has a total of four prop traders in London, including Lawrence Barwick, London-based global head of proprietary FX trading.

More hires can be expected in London over the coming months, Barwick said, although he declined to give target numbers.
