Merrill ousts derivatives head

Chris Vogelgesang, Merrill Lynch's global head of complex foreign exchange options, and David Gu, head of swaps and complex interest rate options for Europe, Middle East and Africa, have assumed Chattwell's responsibilities, said a spokesperson at the bank.

Vogelgesang and Gu, both based in London, are veterans of the bank's fixed income division, having worked at Merrill for nine and 11 years respectively. Chattwell joined Merrill Lynch in 1999.
