Record brings ESG into currency management

Specialist currency manager develops database and methods for improving ESG credentials of its product

James Wood-Collins: new database and strategy is start of broader conversation about ESG and currencies

Record Currency Management has developed a database that helps to introduce environmental, social and governance (ESG) credentials to its multi-strategy currency product while preserving returns, as the company moves to bring responsible investing into the active currency management space.

Record’s offering will complement the traditional economic assessments used to determine a country’s direction. The initiative marks the first time ESG is being used in active currency management.
