With an Alexander Mann survey pointing to the lack of women in London's financial markets, there are no signs of significant progress, said market watchers.
Fewer than 10% of FX traders are women, according to the survey of 30 financial institutions in the City, but this picture of a macho industry is more prevalent in London than elsewhere. One female London-based FX headhunter said much has to do with the old-style "cut-throat trading floor", considered a place for hardy males.
