EBS outage boosts rival volumes
LONDON - An outage on electronic spot broking system EBS Spot on Thursday fuelled volumes on rival platforms, say market participants.
The Icap-owned platform was down from 13:14 to 15:22 GMT. It said this was due to an ongoing issue caused by a network service provider affecting the platform. The broker said "a complete failover plan" was affected by a subsequent problem that occurred as a result of the network service provider going down, details of which had not yet been identified.
