CME FX volumes rising
Electronic forex trading over the Globex platform gained 32% from 445,992 contracts a day in September 2006, to average 587,000 contracts a day last month.
Strongly traded currencies in September included the Canadian dollar, up 17% on September 2006 at 68,000 contracts. The Australian dollar saw electronic volumes on CME Globex climb to 45,000 contracts a day, rising 68% over the same month last year.
