Midland Bank's New York Branch Still Growing, Despite Layoffs

The shake-up at Midland Bank's New York office last week that took some industry officials by surprise and left others wondering if the bank would soon shut down its branch here altogether, is only a reflection of the bank's move towards global integration, says treasurer Allan Rosenberg. In fact, the bank is still growing, he maintains and is still searching for two or three more traders to round out its operation here.
