German Banks Show Strong Forex Gains In Latest Nine-Month Reports

Most of the larger German banks are showing strong year-on-year gains from FX trading for the nine-month period ended September 30; however, several regional German banks do not release nine-month period results.

The gains in the FX market over this reporting period are largely due to across-the-board currency market volatility, says Michael Wallace, manager of European FX analysis at Standard & Poor's MMS International in London.
