Bank Brussels' Torres Resigns, Successor To Be Named Soon

BANKS

During the latter part of August, Jesse Torres, the chief dealer of Bank Brussels Lambert (BBL) in New York, resigned to pursue "other interests" according to Joseph Botkier, a senior vice president at the bank.

Although senior officials at the bank declined to elaborate, a source familiar with the bank says Torres had become increasingly disenchanted with the conservative nature of the bank.

According to the source, Torres was hired as chief dealer a little over a year ago from Bank of Boston
